Finally finished watching last weeks fights (in record time ).

Well I think UFC 200 was a bit snoozeable. Lesnar v Hunt, and Cormier v Silva were basically hump fests. I did think Silva did reasonably well considering he went up a weight class against a current champ, and had no training to speak of - he had gall bladder surgery only six weeks ago!!! Felt really sorry for Meisha Tate, her slow starts proved to be her undoing I think.

Fight Night 90 and the TUF Finale were a different story - both very good cards. Eddie Alvarez looked awesome, as did Joanna Jedrzejczyk after she'd weathered the first two rounds. Felt sorry for Claudia Gadhela as Jedrzejczyk had been such a nasty bitch on the TUF season.

Roll on UFC 202. Saw some photos of Nate Diaz - man he looks BIG!!! I think he's going to wipe the canvas with McGregor.

Jones is garbage and doesn't even belong in the sport. I have zero pity for a crybaby cheat like him. It was a bit pathetic on the part of the fans for the DC vs. Silva fight. Trashing DC for being smart and not standing toe to toe with Silva being Silva's major advantage, let alone DC could of just opted out of the whole fight being last minute changes cause of Jones.

Big props to Silva and DC for continuing on even though neither was prepped for it. Even though he lost, Silva still came out as the big winner.

Gadhela vs Jedrzejczyk was a very good fight and sadly that wasn't even a major event like being on UFC 200. Jedrzejczyk sure can't trash talk at all but she sure can bang in the ring. Great job by both of them.

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Brock Lesnar of a potential doping violation stemming from an out-of-competition drug test administered June 28.

Lesnar, 39, returned to the Octagon for the first time since December 2011 to defeat Mark Hunt via decision. The pro wrestling star remains under contract with WWE and declined to say whether he would fight in a UFC match again.

Lesnar told The Associated Press in a statement, "we will get to the bottom of this."

The UFC announced Lesnar's potential violation on Friday. In a statement, the UFC said it was not informed of the potential violation until Thursday which explains why Lesnar was able to compete at UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas.

"The UFC organization was notified today that [USADA] has informed Brock Lesnar of a potential anti-doping violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on June 28," the statement said. "USADA received the testing results from the June 28 sample collection from the [World Anti-Doping Agency]-accredited UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory on the evening of July 14."

UFC said it was not informed of the potential violation until Thursday, after Brock Lesner fought in UFC 200 on July 9. Lesnar told The Associated Press that "we will get to the bottom of this.'' Joshua Dahl-USA TODAY Sports

Under the UFC's anti-doping program, which is administered by USADA and went into effect in July 2015, results management and adjudication of the case falls to USADA, as well as the Nevada State Athletic Commission, due to the fact Lesnar's fight took place in Las Vegas.

The NSAC is already involved in another case regarding UFC 200. Former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who was removed from UFC 200 three days prior to the event due to a potential violation, is also facing discipline from the NSAC.

Lesnar (6-3) announced his retirement from mixed martial arts in 2015, but ultimately decided to return to the UFC for a "one-off," to which WWE agreed.

Lesnar has not before tested positive for banned substances in his UFC career. It is also unknown at this time what the potential doping violation is for a banned substance or a banned methodology.

The AP also obtained copies of three letters from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency to Lesnar, informing the fighter that he had passed tests on three samples submitted over a nine-day period in mid-June, mere days before the sample with the potential violation was collected.

It is standard procedure for USADA to not immediately divulge the cause of the potential doping violation.

Under the UFC's program, any retired athlete who wishes to return to competition must first be subjected to a four-month testing window.

The UFC is able to grant exemptions to that requirement, however. Due to the unique circumstances of Lesnar's return and his contract situation with the WWE, the UFC decided to waive that four-month window for the first time.

Despite receiving an exemption for the four-month requirement, Lesnar did submit eight tests to USADA, according to the agency's website.

Hunt, 42, referenced that exemption numerous times leading up to the fight. In an interview with MMA Fighting on Friday, Hunt said he has asked UFC officials for half of Lesnar's $2.5 million guaranteed purse or to be released from his contract effective immediately.

"The cheaters get a slap on the wrist and walk off," Hunt told MMA Fighting. "What penalty or deterrent is there to make them think twice? Nothing. And the [Nevada Athletic Commission], why should these [expletive] get anything? They are not the ones who had to fight with Lesnar or lose [to him]. I lost."

Hunt told MMA Fighting that he has yet to hear from UFC.

When asked about the topic of performance-enhancing drugs during a pre-fight international conference call, Lesnar responded, "I'm a white boy and I'm jacked. Deal with it."

Information from the Associated Press was used in this report.

And this is why I don't like Brock Lesner...L-Kabong

No surprise there, I think the guy is obviously juiced to the tits. Having said that it will be some time before a final ruling is made as to wheather he has actually cheated.

Yep - the "unique circumstances" were that the UFC needed to beef up the card for UFC 200 which was starting to fall apart at the seams.

Agree totally with Mark Hunt. I hope he gets his half of the $2.5 million if the authorities finally rule against Lesnar. It's really bad for the sport, and I can imagine that it might even impact on the return of GSP who had quite a hangup on the UFC's policies on PEDs.

I mean come on. Did anyone in the entire world thought Lesnar will pass the test that reveal traces of metabolites from who knows when? On short notice fight? He did not have the time to clear his system. Entire point of fake fights in WWE is to get persons jacked as much as possible, and then "fight" them to look good...

And if anyone do not know, stuff you use to clean your system out of steroids still makes you fail test, even tho it's not PEDs. So Lesnar could use stuff to speed up he's cleaning and that would fail him a test. USADA punish you if you used in the past and now use something else to kick out 1st substance.

You can't be that big without chemistry. You simply can't. There are probably 10 people that can in the world, but chance that he's one of them were pretty slim.

Mark Hunt should get min 1.25 mil, if not more. He knew guy is juiced and still saved UFC 200. He knew Lesnar is juiced and still took big damage from him... 42yo father taking damage from 265+ lbs juiced man with 5XL gloves.

There is not a single person surprised in the entire UFC roster ( media, president, owners, entire UFC staff, USADA included ).

I agree with all of that, but for me the point is that the UFC shouldn't have made the fight in the first place. And if they were going to they should at the very least have insisted on the 4 month testing period being enforced. But they were trying to pump up - pun intended - both the card and their revenues.

As it turns out Lesnar's return did little to give the card a boost. I don't think many real MMA fans were all that excited to see Lesnar return, and from the post fight figures it doesn't appear to have done anything to pull in WWE fans on pay-per-views.

I'm less annoyed at Lesnar than I am at the UFC. Monumental cock-up imo.

The only good thing to come out of it is that we are highly unlikely to see Lesnar back in the octagon and the UFC will probably be a bit more careful about booking dog and pony show fights.

Yeah, but to act like UFC cares about sportsmanship and fairness towards guys like Mark Hunt is silly. They are corporation that care about 1 thing. The ultimate goal of any corporation is to make money. Not fighters welfare.

They did not think for a millisecond about small thing called drug testing, or Mark Hunt's welfare. UFC 200 got major bust, since Lesnar is a superstar. Mark Hunt got some money and some brain damage from guy that will fail drug test. People got entertainment.

And USADA proved to be just UFC's smoke and mirrors, since UFC had right to make exemption in this case to earn more. I mean wth, exemption in combat sports for a guy that 100% of fighters called "juiced" ( Mark Hunt included ). THE ONLY guy on the card you should not make exemption for...

I mean wtf ( June 9th 2016, 1 month prior UFC 200):
Quote:
Mark Hunt on Brock Lesnar: 'I think he's juiced to the gills'
Oh yeah and failed test is from June 18th.

What we know now and what we also have to take into account then was at this time UFC brass was pushing threw the sale of the company. 4 billion dollars was on the line. Come hell or high water I'm sure they were ready to cut any and all corners .

They are always ready to cut any and all corners. I.e. knowing Vitor Belfort failed test, kept it as a secret ( even from JJ ) and let him almost brake Jon Jones arm...

Promoter can't self regulate. They just act they are, but 1st tight situation, and exemption issued to save the day.

What prevent every superstar moneymaker UFC fighter to "retire" not get tested for months, and when he/she come back UFC issue him exemption? So he can train with mexican supplements for months without any worries of getting caught?
